RPX485

RPX485 is a serial line repeater able to repeat, regenerate and functionally isolate the RS485 serial line. It is designed to allow the extended and articulated serial line realization: for example in simple and complex star configuration, for intrusion detection systems managed by  EL.MO. ETR, NET, TITANIA and VIDOMO series control unit.

Its potentialities allow to extend the serial line up to 3 Km, thanks to the possibility to use up to 2 RPX485 repeaters in cascade. The possibility to create star structures ensures an exceptional installation flexibility, taking full advantage of the devices on RS485 proposed by EL.MO.

In addition, the functional isolator function, allows to divide the serial line in different segments in order to exclude a segment in short circuit and to maintain the normal operation in the remaining part.
